Reed Set To Deliver Comments and Video at VIPS 2008 Awards Dinner on VideoRays Role In Recent Titan Salvage Jobs
October 2008- Phil Reed, Director of Engineering for the global marine salvage firm Titan Salvage, is set to deliver a keynote address at VIPS 2008 in Key Largo, Florida. VIPS, which is being held October 27th-30 at the Key Largo Bay Marriott Resort, is the world’s largest microROV conference which attracts underwater professionals from around the world. This year’s attendees will have the unique opportunity to hear how an industry leader in maritime salvage utilizes technology like the VideoRay Pro 3 GTO to ensure the operation gets done safely and efficiently.
Titan Salvage recently took delivery of a VideoRay Pro 3 GTO with a BlueView ProViewer P-900 High Definition imaging sonar and LYYN integrated video enhancement. The system has since been shipped to sites around the world and has provided valuable video footage for salvage operations in all types of conditions.
Mr. Reed received a Master’s Degree in Ocean Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology and has been working as a naval architect/marine engineer since 1990. He joined Titan full time in 2000 as Senior Naval Architect/Vice President and recently returned to Titan’s US office after serving 3-1/2 years in our UK facility. Phil’s responsibilities include the technical planning and execution of many of Titan’s salvage and wreck removal projects in the role of Naval Architect, Salvage Master and Project Manager, while simultaneously focusing on labor relations and recruiting.
